Key problems in thick film heating application

Rare earth thick film heating technology has been developed for more than 10 years, and with advantages with fast heating, high efficiency, energy saving, safety and stability, and multi-temperature control have a wide application prospect. However, in order to promote the rare earth thick film heating technology to the market, Gida believes that these problems must be solved  


1. Preparation of rare earth paste

The heating rate of thick film can range from dozens to hundreds of ℃ / sec. Its secret recipe lies in the preparation of paste. From the initial paste preparation, to achieve the different power density of the thick film, thus realizing the difference in the temperature rise speed. At present, this core formula is only owned by the first manufacturers who invented rare earth thick film technology. Most thick film manufacturers just make thick film printing after buying the paste, so there is no paste preparation technology, and it is impossible to meet the needs of different power and temperature rise.

2. Curved surface of the thick film printing preparation process

 One of the characteristics of rare earth thick film application is that it can be prepared by similar screen printing technology and covered a curved or flat thermal conductive substrate. Theoretically speaking, any plane, curved surface can be fully covered, especially the curved surface of the thick film requires smaller space, bear pressure, etc., the practical application range is wider. However, in the actual printing preparation process, the difficulty of the curved surface is much greater than that of the plane. How to ensure the comprehensiveness of the slurry coverage, printing uniformity and consistency is the biggest problem in the preparation process. 3. The matching control system

Thick film heating fast, high temperature characteristics, not the general control system can control! The degree of control and response speed are very critical, and they also need to be verified by theoretical design and countless tests. The result of poor control is either the high temperature and the impact of the thick film life; or the temperature is not reached, and the experience effect is reduced. And by the environmental factors of the use process, the fluctuation of the process, the stability and reliability of the system is higher!

4. Film explosive problem

 Film explosive is one of the fatal defects of rare earth thick film technology. Which is the thick film heating element in the high temperature state of paste melting circuit short circuit fault. Once the film , the whole component is scrapped! Burst film for many reasons, can say the above three factors may affect the burst film: slurry of uneven preparation may lead to different temperature, printing process impurities may affect the coating effect, not to mention the control system, not only is to consider a good performance and experience effect, and both safety and stability. Why now film explosive has become the obstacle of most thick film manufacturers, because these manufacturers do not have a professional technical development system, They are not professional, experience accumulation is not enough, a lot of problems can not be fundamentally analyzed and solved

5. Experience and performance

The previous points are the technical problems, after solved these technical problems, how to reflect the experience effect of thick film technology in the terminal machine, this is also a new topic, even many manufacturers have not considered at the beginning of the application development .Take the current application of boiling water machine, customer experience of the water effect,  it is completely different with the traditional boiling water machine, instant thick film heating in the production of boiling water how to avoid the stream, water in line straight and continuous, this is not a simple thing! And if can not solve this problem, the thick film technology is the most typical "heating fast" effect is greatly reduced! For customers, it is also no sense.
